It's a 45rpm (single) one of only 25 pressed in Lebanon in an industry that beacme virtually extinct after the civil war started in 1975. It's a collectors item , exteremely cheap at the moment

Brick - hardboiled in suburbia
For those of you who haven't seen Brick - it's a hardboiled detective story in suburbia , directed by Rian Johnson.The movie score was composed by Nathan Johnson (related to Rian) and interestingly was composed over Apple iChat , scene by scene. The sound trie to emulate the noir style - with traditional instruments , such as piano and violin, but there are also improv sounds made by kitchen utensils and filing cabinets , all on one microphone on a Powerbook,
Anton Karas, The Velvet Underground ,Kay Armen and a full performance of "The sun whose rays are all ablaze" make an interesting body for a very interesting movie

Casino Royale
To enjoy this soundtrack you have to be open minded. It's different in style , from its predecessors.Initially, I didn't get into it , but David Arnold has put together some layers , which take a coupple of listens.We've all become used to the James Bond soundtrack formula. This soundtrack actually fits the movie. Moody interspersed with thrilling action.Very impressionistic.

"Enter the Dragon" was the first US martial arts movie.The soundtrack is a classic. As well as integrating brass sounds and chinese instrumnets , Lalo Schifrin also sampled Bruce Lee screaming , making him maybe the Father of sampling.
Even though this is the poster to the soundtrack, it evokes the spirit of the movie soundtrack.

"Babel" soundtrack talking all languages
Babel ,(with Brad Pitt) a movie by Alejandro Gonzalez , completes the triology preceded by Amores Perros and 21 Grams.The soundtrack produced by Alejandro González Iñárritu, has pulled together some great music.
Firstly, it sounds like a symphony and secondly the process he uses to produce the soundtrack-where the cast are constantly sampling the music to create the right mood is fascinating. The music reflects and creates the movie.
Gustavo Santaolalla, who also composed the Brokeback Mountain score , features heavily on the soundtrack, as well as Earth, Wind & Fire

Lalo Schifrin in Concert
The composer of the Dirty Harry Soundtrack has announced a one off concert next year.On April 23 at the Film Music Concert of 15th Jules Verne Film Festival at the Grand Rex, Paris.Apart from Dirty Harry he's also composed the music for The Amytiville Horror and Mission Impossible.
